Chateau Kromeriz

Archbishop's palace occupies an exceptional position among the major sights of Moravia. Throughout its existence it was property of the Olomouc bishops and archbishops, which served primarily as a summer residence.

Chateau Gardens

Originally it was just a vegetable and flower garden below the castleon the premises of the River Morava. From 15 century has changedits function and appearance in the 17th century, was rebuilt inBaroque garden as a continuation of the stairs to the castle by the River. In the 19th century was to rebuild the garden style landscapedpark of 64 hectares, benefiting from regulation by the Morava riverfloodplain and drainage of the swampy forest. Using water-richcomponents (streams, ponds), botanical composition of meadowsand forests with romantic buildings (Pompejánská Colonnade,Peacock Court, Fishing Hall, Colloredo Colonnade) and sculptures(John arcib.Rudolfa bust, bust-arcib.Sommerau Beckha) rankleading European landscape parks.

Kroměříž churches 

Parish Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary

It dates from the early Middle Ages, but after the renovations are acore part of the original towers. The author of the recent building of the years 1724-1736 is considered Ignaz von Bolleshaus Cyrano.Layout is a model in Prague sv.Klimenta Jesuit church and the interior is baroque.

Church of St. John the Baptist

The temple was consecrated in 1768. The facade design is based on the Vienna and Prague, and the entrance is a sculpture ofChrist's baptism placed with the Angels (Olomouc sculptor OndrejZahner, 1752). Excellent interior is the work of leading artists of Moravia and Austria (Etgens JJ, J. Stern, FI Leicher, MichelangeloUnterberger, W. Träger, John and Michael Scharterové, PaulRamelli, etc.).. Using the rococo and sentimental elements wereevaluated in the interior of one of the finest 18th century in Moravia

Church of St. Maurice

The original 13th century Gothic church founded by Bishop Brunoof Schaumburg, with a collegiate chapter (six canons, provost anddean). Archaeological probes did not confirm the existence ofearlier "predecessor "of Bruno's works. At the site showed the presence of traces of prehistoric settlements and settlement oflocational time (second half of the 13th century) - that is the foundation of the chapter. In terms of development works is acrucial fact. Construction of the temple was gradual. Presbytery ofthe twin towers of the 13th century was accompanied by the newvaulting of the presbytery in the 14th century building of the sacristyand Parleresque vault system. Recovery after the destruction of the Hussite wars since 1516 (simple cross-vaulted arch), completeinterior, (smaller and portal from the year 1582), a Baroquebuilding was completed Mary's Chapel (painful) from in 1763.Pseudo-restoration after a fire in the years 1836-1848 (F. Jäger,Ant. Ark) gave the church its present appearance. Outside thecenotaph on the facade of the Archbishop-Sommeraua Beckha (J.Gasser of Vienna).

Orthodox Church of Saints Cyril and Methodius

The church was built between 1946 - 1948 in the Byzantine style.Should be a reminder to the Romanian city of liberators and BishopGorazd. He worked in Kromeriz and later in Prague, where he wasexecuted by the Nazis in 1942 for sheltering participantsassassination of Reinhard Heydrich.

Castle Holešov

Holešov Castle is a valuable example of early Baroque. Thedisposition of old medieval fortress and a Renaissance chateau, nothing survived. Construction of the 17th century two-storey four-winged building with hexagonal towers at the corners, covered witha high mansard roof. Exterior facades are divided on the ground floor rustic band, the floors lesenes reaching a significantcantilever ledge. The simple passage of the Sala terrena situatedaxially symmetrical to the main entrance leads to a remarkablepark. Its unique in the Czech lands concept is based on the style ofFrench architect Le Nôtrea: these are developed the idea of Italiangardens with the main axis of the canal lock, the channeldownstream of the shape of the letter U, so that helps to create theshape of Neptune's trident. The park originated small buildings andsculptures, including a bust of the composer FX Richter by sculptorJohn Habarta. In March 2008, the observatory able to work againin the castle garden. Boat rental.

Chateau Chropyně

Two-storey palace was built in 1615 on a former fortress. The roofof the tower in the shape of an octagonal pyramid dates back to1892 when a fire has replaced the original roof.
